Good morning, everyone.

I’ve never been the biggest fan of lightweight Oxfords. I’ve just always preferred a broadcloth or a madras in the summer. I kind of felt like the lightweight Oxford was a lesser version of the real deal and if I want to have an Oxford just let it be heavy and let me use other fabrics for spring-summer.

But I finally tried a lightweight Oxford and I’ve changed my mind a bit. I’m doing a summer campaign with Proper Cloth and one of the shirts I ordered was this lightweight yellow university stripe OCBD. I wanted to give a lightweight an earnest try. Right out of the box it felt amazing. Super soft fabric. Really nice. The weight is just slightly heavier than broadcloth. It kind of almost feels like a strong madras with that OCBD-ish texture.
